Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

A few days ago I wrote about receiving my MomVoxBox from Influenster. I received the Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookie with Raisins in my VoxBox.
Let me start off by saying that this is the only photo of this cookie. It was gone in only minutes after opening the box and photographing everything inside.

When I tried the cookie I noticed that it was very soft, moist, and chewy. I usually do not like raisins, but they were very good in this. They actually tasted like homemade to me. And I grew up with a grandmother who always had fresh baked cookies in the kitchen. Having three kids of my own, of course I had to share with them. My son's comment on the cookie was, "That's really yummy, Mommy!" I am pretty sure we will be purchasing these in the future because my two boys keep asking if there is another cookie in my VoxBox.

And speaking of purchasing. These cookies are available in most stores. They retail for $2.69 for a box of 6 cookies. There are 5 flavors to choose from including: Apple Cinnamon, Banana Nut, Chocolate Almond, Cranberry & Yogurt, and Raisins. The Raisins flavor was very good, but I really want to try the Chocolate Almond now!

To find out more information on the Quaker Soft Baked Cookies, head on over to Quaker's website where you can also signup for their newsletter.
Then, check out Quaker on Twitter and see what other Influenster's are saying about Quaker's Soft Baked Cookie. And of course Quaker is on Facebook as well.

Have any of you tried these cookies yet? If so, what flavor did you try and what did you think of them?

Renowned philanthropist and billionaire Paul Parnell had reached the pinnacle of monetary success, but not without cost. This unorthodox will, which stipulates that the lion's share of Paul's two billion dollar estate be given to the heirs who pass the test, was Paul's last hope of creating an enduring legacy by inspiring his children to give back to society and embrace a code of moral values. The six children-Rory, Frank, Dan, Monica, Carla and Ashley-have only one year to make a difference. But what a difference one year will make. Before these six very different siblings can complete the test, they'll be forced to face their personal demons and the incredibly evil influence that could claim one of their own.

Sometimes You Just Gotta Frog It...

I had started on something for me and about 1/3 of the way through, I frogged it. It just wasn't turning out like I had hoped. Plus, I was crocheting and it didn't have the drape that I would have liked.
Anyway, balls were re-wound and this yarn is now on the circular knitting needles. My plan now is to make a top for myself.

Bear the German Shepherd

An update on Bear, the German Shepherd...
Last Saturday, a guy was supposed to drive 2 hours to pick Bear up & keep him until his friend from Atlanta could get him. He never showed up. Didn't call or anything.
This lady would have been perfect for him. She used to train dogs for the military. Bear is definitely trainable. We have worked on "sit" with him & he did pretty well.

So, I guess we are back at square one with finding him a forever home. The local PAWS & low-kill shelters are overflowing...so, we don't want to add to their count. When my husband was walking Bear, a random neighbor tried to offer to pay for some of his food...because the thinks it's a nice thing we are trying to do. There are still nice, helpful, generous people out there.

Anyone want a German Shepherd? He is walked everyday and likes riding in cars.
