Awesomeness!!!

Remeber my post for the Football Beanie? Well, Marie Anne over at Every Day Crochet did an article for Yahoo!'s Your Wisdom about Super Bowl crafts and she inclued a link for my pattern! How awesome is that?!? Very! Here is the link to the article! She also included links for other crafty goodness like a slipper-sock pattern, table runner, bottle koozie, afghan, etc.
It made me very happy to be mentioned! Thanks Marie Anne!

The Football beanie pattern has also been added to Crochet Pattern Central, which is a very helpful site for free patterns and instructions too.

SwagBucks

I know I have posted a link for SwagBucks before but I am going to again...only because I really do like it. I have gotten about $30 in Amazon Giftcards and a few other things from the Swag Store. They also have LOTS of other things to "buy" with your SBs...They even have Gaming consoles and TVs...but they are a LOT of bucks.

How SB works is you sign up and download the SB toolbar. You dont have to but, you do get 1 SB each day for having it! You then use the toolbar for all of your internet searches (instead of going to google, etc). You dont get SBs for every search. Say if you did 5 searches one day, you might get SBs for two of those searches. And they usually range from 5-12 SBs. However, sometimes it could be 50!

You also get 1SB a day for each of the following: Daily Poll, NOSO, and Trusted Surveys. All of these can be found by clicking "Earn" at the top of the page.

Trusted Surveys can be usually 30-200SBs. You get the SBs for qualifying and completing them. If a survey has been filled (had the required # of people take it) then you will get a SwagStakes entry. This means you're in the running for 1,000 SB usually.

Games are new at SwagBucks. I have played a few of them. It seems that after you play a few games you will earn 2sb.

SBtv is where you can watch all kinds of videos. Food, animals, technology, celebrities, etc. They have been messing with this feature a lot lately...When you fill up the percentage bar to 100%, you get 5 SB. This is allowed 15x a day for 75 SB total a day!

They also do daily codes you can enter for extra SBs. Sometimes you have to search for the code and sometimes they just tell you what it is.

So, I definitely recommend this site. I am using my Amazon giftcards to buy Homeschooling supplies like books, cd roms, etc for my kids!!!
Sign up today!!! You get 30 sb just for joining!

Not A Very Happy Camper

Well, what can I say?...I just love how I post a free pattern on Ravelry...one I actually came up with a few years ago...and the next day someone posts a pattern VERY much like mine...and is charging for it. I see what I get for trying to be nice and give something for free...I mean, I know lots of patterns are similar, but there was nothing on there like that...which is why I added it...only to have someone copycat it and put pattern up for sale. Might not be exactly the same or whatever but dang...

Football Beanie Pattern

I'm sorry to have to post this. Unfortunately, there are too many people using my pattern to make money online when I specifically stated do not sell my pattern or items made with my pattern online. (I stated finished items may NOT be sold online...and I have seen exact copies everywhere online!) So, I regret to take this down from my blog, but it just irks me to no end that people will be so dishonorable. I had been making this hat for a few years and never once saw something online like it. That is why I decided to add it in the first place. I have, however, decided to sell MY pattern for $1.50 in PDF format on Ravelry.com. Again, I'm sorry to all those who respected my pattern. It's the bad apples that ruin it for everyone else. ~April

Lots of Beanies...

My BIL is in a band and they are having a show later this month. They are wanting me to make some beanies, wristers, etc for them to sell at the show. Sooo, I got to get to work! I have 1 completed so far and am half way on the 2nd hat.

Quick Slippers

I found this Mary Janes pattern on Ravelry and had to make them. The pattern is called  "Crocheted Mary Jane Slippers" by Calypso Grey. It was another night of storms, so I was awake and needed something to do while the cable was out. These worked up very quickly. I wear a us9 and hoped they would fit...and they do. Perfectly.
I am thinking of making my grandma a pair, but will need to alter to make them a bit bigger...which looks like it will be pretty easy to do. The pattern is simple and well written. I will definately be making these in more colors!
