TrueBlood Swap on Rav

I am participating in a swap on Ravelry in the TrueBlood group. I haven't received my package yet, but I thought I would show you some pictures of what I sent my spoilee.
Here is what she saw when she opened the box.
This is all the little goodies she got to open!
A note from me explaining what the theme of my package was: "Pick Me: Eric vs. Alcide" (she likes them both, so I had Eric & Alcide to kind of plead their cases to win her over...)
These are the goodies from Eric: bracelet, stitch markers, yarn, chocolate candle, do not disturb sign, washcloth & body wash. And a note from Pam to help convince her to pick Eric.
Here are the goodies from Alcide: a cowl, starburst, socks, hot chocolate, sewing tin, dishcloth, earrings, stitch markers, & vanilla candle.
She has a yorkie, so Sam Merlotte's threw in a new hand knit dog toy:
The back on the TB project bag:
Side view:
A hand drawn pic from me. And a keychain with a blood drop and a claw to represent Eric & Alcide.
A few pix of Joe Manganiello (Alcide) and some paper dolls ;-) as well as a few crocheted hearts I threw into the box.
The best part is that she loved everything! Yay! I cannot wait until the next swap!
I've had so much fun...just waiting on my swap package to arrive and see all the goodies I get!

Halloween Wreath

So, I was thinking we needed a little something for our front door. This is what I came up with:
It's made from yarn, Elmer's glue, a circle cut from a diaper box, black pipe cleaners, a glue gun, and some orange squeeze paint. Love it!

True Blood Swap

So, I am participating in the TB swap on Ravelry. I cannot wait to see who has me as their stalkee...errr...swapee!
We had to fill out a survey so our swapee would know about us and know what kinds of things we like...who's team we are on (Eric!/Bill/Alcide/etc). I thought I would post a few more tidbits about myself here to help them out...if they read this, that is. (will keep adding as I think of stuff)

~I love to read. Bookmarks would be great.
~Love coffee. Starbucks is yummy. So is hot chocolate
~Love cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking...all when I get the chance of course.
~Three kids. 5,3,1...We homeschool.
~We have a tuxedo kitty: Gizmo. A border collie: Bristol Talladega, 2birds: Smokey & Chattanooga.
~NASCAR fans here! Go #11 Denny Hamlin & #88 Dale Jr. #18 is my sons favorite.
~Tennessee Vols fans! Kids middle names are Tennessee, Knoxville, & Memphis!
~I love anything that has skulls on it...jewelry, shirts, scarves, purses, etc.
~Candles make me happy. Vanilla is #1 favorite scent..along with Christmas cookie.
~I mainly crocheted up until recently. Knitting is more my thing now. Could always use some circulars or dpns in any size.
~I love to draw. I'm always doodling on something.
TB Merchandise:
~Keychain
~Mug/Glasses (I have 2 Merlotte's glasses, but will welcome more.)
~Shirt...Fangtasia...but Merlotte's or just a TB shirt would be awesome.
~Totally need season 3, but that's a long shot unless you find it on extreme clearance lol.
~I haven't read Dead Reckoning. (I have Dead in the Family on hard copy. Would love the other books as well.)
~Calendar
Etsy: I know some of these are higher priced, but I would take a homemade-by-you knockoff if it was doable!

Bloody Vampire Bite - A Soft, Handmade Wool Scarf - Inspired by Vampire Folklore and The TV Series True Blood - CUSTOM ORDER

Toes Up Socks

Just submitted my 2nd challenge project to Nerd Wars T3. I crocheted some toe-up socks for Buffy's birthday! Well, really they are for me. Been planning on making them for a while now.

The Gentlemen Need 7 Hearts

I'm part of the Nerd Wars on Ravelry and our first challenges have been posted.
I didn't get Team Bite Me, like I hoped...I got Team Hellmouth(Buffy). Which is still okay with me. So, I was trying to figure out my first project and thought about the episode "Hush" and the Gentlemen.
I decided to crochet an anatomically correct heart. The Gentlemen need 7 hearts to live and only a human scream can kill them. I submitted this for the Technical:Colortastic challenge. The pattern can be found on Ravelry here.

Bottle Coozie

Wanted to make another cozy & practice the duplicate stitch as well, so I did both.

~April

Key Cozies

Whipped these both up in about 10 minutes last night. The bright pink was a pain to get the key ring back through, but hubby got out the pliers & made it happen.
No pattern, just made it up as I went based on the shape of the key.
Hook size: E
Worsted yarn on the larger size & some sock yarn on the smaller one.

True Blood Blanket

Took less than a week to make!

Love Knot Tanktop Cover

Made this in about 2 hours the other day. Very easy & quick.

Fangs Bookmark

Just a little something I came up with to go with my Sookie Stackhouse(Southern Vampire Series/True Blood) books. Might add the pattern later.

Jolly Roger Finished-for now.

I finished the Jolly Roger sweater today. I did short sleeves for now because I wanted it finished before tomorrow so I could wear it. I plan on adding more rounds to make them longer later. And I can always wear a shirt with sleeves under it. Also it fits hubby too! And now he is wanting an orange one with a white skull. :-)

K's Dress

After about two weeks, I finally finished K's dress. I couldn't find an "A" pattern/applique so I made it up as I went. I also made two hairclips. A flower and a bow. She will be receiving them tomorrow at church. Hope it fits well and she likes it.
Roughly 20" around at chest and also about 20" in length from top to bottom. I think she is about 18months.
I will share more finished projects tomorrow.

Progress On Deep-V Top

Ok. It is pretty much finished...just have the sleeves to do. However, this did not turn out how I thought it would. Compared to the picture with the pattern, it should definitely be longer...Sooo there may not be a pic of it. It may even end up frogged. :-(

WIP-Tennessee dress and "T" filet applique.

Here is where I got to last night before putting it down. The simple shells were too monotonous at that time of night. So I then started a filet crochet "T" to place on the front of Peyton's dress.
The dress looks like it could double as a cheerleading outfit, so I might add some orange in the skirt like the pleats of color in a real one.

Tennessee Granny Square Purse

24 Squares..whew. Didn't have anything for handles, so I crocheted two 3-strand chains for handles. I saw something similar online a while back and had to make my own version of it. Thinking of making some in other team colors and selling them around here. Wonder if anyone would want one???

H.K. beanie. Made the face separate and sewed onto the hat. Now my mom is wanting a h.k. scarf. I see Christmas presents in the works.
